A response statement from GHS Annex 3 — the precautionary half of the label language on SDSs and containers.
| Official statement | IF IN EYES: |
| Group | Response (P3xx) |
The trailing colon is not a typo: P305 is a condition stem. On sheets and labels it prints combined with the response steps that follow it — for example "P303+P361+P353" reads as one instruction.
Our engine assigns P305 whenever a product carries any of these hazard statements:
| H314 | Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. |
| H318 | Causes serious eye damage. |
| H319 | Causes serious eye irritation. |
When SDS HQ authors an SDS or a container label, it assigns the hazard statements, signal word, pictograms, and precautionary statements from these same tables — automatically, with the calculation shown.
